PRIVACY POLICY
Last Updated: 9 April 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Late Byte Labs ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Not Me mobile application and related services (the "App").
Not Me is an AI-powered video transformation app that lets you upload a source video and a character reference image to generate a transformed video in which the person in the source video is replaced with the chosen character.
2. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect information such as your email address, first name, last name, display name, password credentials handled through Firebase Authentication, whether you accepted the terms, and whether you opted in to marketing emails.
Media you provide. We collect the videos, images, thumbnails, and generated outputs you upload or create through the App. These media files may contain facial imagery (see Section 4, "Face Data," below for full details).
Usage and account records. We store records related to credits or tokens, subscription status, generation history, generation status, processing times, support requests, and similar service metadata.
Device and app data. We may collect push notification tokens, app version information, and limited technical data needed to operate the App and deliver updates. The App does not include a dedicated analytics SDK or ad network SDK.
Purchase information. Subscription and entitlement status is processed through RevenueCat and the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not directly collect full payment card details.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to create and manage accounts, provide AI video transformations (including processing media that contains facial imagery as described in Section 4), store and deliver generated outputs, maintain user credits or subscriptions, send operational notifications, respond to support requests, prevent fraud or abuse, comply with legal obligations, and improve the reliability and security of the App.
4. Face Data
Our App's core feature is AI-powered character replacement in videos. Because source videos and character reference images may contain faces, this section explains in detail how we handle such media.
What face data we collect. When you use our character swap feature you provide a source video (which may contain your face or another person's face) and a character reference image (which may contain a face). These are the only media containing facial imagery that we collect. We do not extract, store, or create biometric identifiers, face maps, face-print templates, or any facial geometry data. The faces appear solely as part of the standard video and photo files you upload.
How face data is used. Your uploaded video and character image are sent to our secure cloud server, which forwards them to Replicate (our third-party AI processing provider) solely for the purpose of generating the character-swapped video you requested. The AI model uses the visual appearance of the character image to replace the person in your source video. No facial recognition, identification, or biometric analysis is performed. Face data is never used for advertising, analytics, profiling, or any purpose other than producing your requested video transformation.
Third-party sharing of face data. Face data (as part of your uploaded video and character image) is shared only with the following third parties, solely for processing your video transformation:
• Google Firebase / Cloud Storage — secure temporary storage of your
uploads and generated videos
• Replicate — AI video processing provider that performs the
character swap
We do not sell, license, or share face data with any other third parties. Replicate processes data solely to fulfill our service request and does not retain your media for their own purposes.
Storage and retention of face data. Your original source video and character image are stored in Google Cloud Storage only for the duration needed to complete processing. Original uploads are automatically deleted from our servers immediately after the character swap is complete. Generated (transformed) videos are retained in your account so you can access them in your gallery. You may delete any generated video at any time from the gallery, which permanently removes it and its associated files (thumbnail, audio) from our storage. If you delete your account, all associated data — including any remaining uploads, generated videos, thumbnails, and audio files — is permanently deleted from our servers.
5. AI Processing
To generate transformed videos, media you upload is processed by our backend and by Replicate, our third-party AI infrastructure provider. Firebase infrastructure is used for storage and backend operations. As part of processing, uploaded files are temporarily stored in cloud systems and made accessible to the backend services needed to complete the requested transformation. Original uploads are deleted automatically once processing is complete (see Section 4).
6. Third-Party Services
Not Me relies on the following third-party services:
• Google Firebase — authentication, cloud functions, database, and
storage
• Replicate — AI video processing (character swap)
• RevenueCat — subscription management
• Apple and Google — in-app purchases
• Expo — app updates and push notification support
Face data (as part of uploaded videos and images) is shared only with Google Firebase and Replicate for the sole purpose of providing the character swap service. Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy. We do not sell your data to any third party.
7. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate the App, when you choose to share generated content using your device tools, when required by law, or when reasonably necessary to protect our users, the App, or our rights.
8. Data Storage and Retention
Account records, generated content, and related metadata are stored in Firebase services for as long as needed to provide the App, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms.
Original uploaded media (source videos and character images) is automatically deleted from our servers immediately after processing is complete. Generated videos are retained until you delete them from your gallery or delete your account.
If you request account deletion, we permanently delete all associated data from our servers, including all stored videos, images, thumbnails, audio files, generation history, and other related records. A limited archive of account metadata (not media files) may be retained for compliance and fraud prevention purposes. Your Firebase Authentication record is also deleted.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and at rest via Google Cloud infrastructure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your Choices and Rights
You may be able to access, update, or delete certain account information through the App. You can also control device-level permissions such as camera, media library, and notifications through your operating system settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights, such as the right to request access to personal information, request deletion, or object to certain processing. To make a request, use the contact details below.
11. International Transfers
Your information may be processed or stored in countries other than your own, including through cloud providers and infrastructure used to operate the App.
12. Children's Privacy
Not Me is not intended for children under 13, or a higher minimum age where required by local law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after an update becomes effective means you accept the revised policy.
